Brrrr! It’s Chili Weather
The chili recipe I’m sharing today comes from the kitchen of my daughter, Radene, in Missouri. Her hubby Shane makes the most delicious cinnamon rolls to compliment her yummy chili! We grew up having chili every Friday for school lunches with a cinnamon roll, cheese sticks, carrots, and celery sticks. We thought everyone ate cinnamon rolls with their chili until our Colorado kids migrated to Missouri, and their new friends had never heard of such a combination. Let me know if you grew up with the cinnamon roll/ chili pairing! What are your favorite toppings for chili?
I’m adding Pinterest links for homemade chili seasoning, refreshing corn salsa, and colorful pico de gillo. Gather your friends and family and make it a fiesta!!
Radene’s Chili
1 pound ground hamburger or turkey
1- 15 oz can tomato sauce
1-15 oz can diced tomatoes or 1-10 oz can of Rotel {depending on how spicy you like your chili
1 packet of chili seasoning or make your own here
1 cup beef or veggie broth
Suggested toppings: grated cheese, sour cream, chopped onions, Fritos, cilantro
I recently made this easy, delicious corn salsa for a fun taco bar.
Every fiesta needs pico-de-gallo!!
Ole` my Cafe friends!!
