How does the world come to a screeching halt seemingly overnight? Opinions, facts, and fake news abound. Confusion, fear, and chaos take advantage of an unknown future and evil slithers into minds and hearts.

Let me ask you this….what or who has control of your mind and emotions each morning when you get up and each night when you lay your head on your pillow?

Psalm 34:4 (BBE) I was searching for the Lord, and he gave ear to my voice, and made me free from all my fears.

What are you searching for? Who or what are you going to for your answers? CNN? NBC? FOX? FACEBOOK? TWITTER? Do these sources hear your desperate voice? Do they have the power to free you and deliver you from ALL your fears?

I think we both know the answer to those last two questions…..NO! AND NO!

Only your Creator, the God of the Universe, Yahweh Himself, hears your cries, sees your heart gripped in terror, and responds with healing and peace.

As you listen to this song…..I pray you anchor yourself to the Truth…..

You do not have to be a slave to fear. Did you know that? Did you know you don’t have to bow to and worship fear? Fear does not have to become an idol, a cruel taskmaster.

Instead, you can make choices that bring life and light into your mind and heart….

Put down your phone…..get off the computer….turn off the tv….

Go for a walk…..

take a nap…..

write a note to a loved one or a friend….

take a nap….{ yes, another one}

go for a drive in the country…..

put a puzzle together…..

read a book….

try a new recipe….

I don’t have the answers to our current state of affairs in this big world. But I do know the One who does. Do you know my Jesus? My Savior and yours. The One who died a brutal, torturous, undeserved death for you and me.

Jesus, the One who defeated the enemy of our souls.

He disarmed those who once ruled over us—those who had overpowered us. Like captives of war, He put them on display to the world to show His victory over them by means of the cross. Colossians 2:15

When you surrender your life to Jesus, your sins… your failures…your good things… your bad things… your idols… addictions…fears… masks… wicked temper… your mouth that curses instead of blesses….everything you are and aren’t… He welcomes you with open arms. He has been waiting for you, holding out His hand to take yours and walk with you every day of your life. He loves you and wants to care for you, protect you, heal you.

YOU WILL NEVER BE ALONE…..HE WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU….

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. Romans 8:38
